Steps to Your Building Your Dream Home with Us.
The construction process can be divided into four main phases:Pre-Construction, Foundation & Structure, Finishes & Systems, and Project Closeout.
1. Pre-Construction & Planning
This phase involves all the necessary groundwork before physical building begins. Project Conception & Feasibility: The client defines the project scope (e.g., residential, commercial) and initial requirements. Site Assessment & Acquisition: The land is purchased, and detailed topographical and soil surveys are conducted. Design & Blueprint Creation: Architects and engineers develop the architectural plans, structural designs, and mechanical/electrical drawings. Permitting & Approvals: Final designs are submitted to local authorities in Accra, Ghana, for necessary building permits and approvals.
2. Foundation & Structure (The Build
This is the core physical building phase, where the skeleton of the structure is established. Excavation and Site Grading: The ground is excavated to the required depth, and the site is leveled for the foundation. Foundation Laying: The foundation (footings, slabs, and columns) is poured and cured. Ground Floor Construction: Concrete slabs are laid for the ground floor.
3. Finishes, Systems, & Specialization
This phase focuses on making the building functional, safe, and habitable. Waterproofing and Sealing: Applying specialized Waterproof Works to the roof and wet areas to protect the structure from water damage. Rough-in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP): Concealed wiring, piping, and ductwork are installed within the walls and ceilings before plastering. Plastering & Rendering: Walls and ceilings are finished with Interior, Exterior, and Ceiling Plaster. Exterior Cladding & Windows/Doors: Exterior finishes are applied, and security/entry doors are installed.
4. Phase 4: Project Closeout & Handover
The final stage ensures the project is complete and meets the client's vision. Final Inspections & Quality Check: A thorough review by the Sara Construction team ensures quality work and adherence to the client's vision. Punch List Completion: Any minor deficiencies or incomplete items are documented and corrected. Client Walk-through & Acceptance: The client inspects the completed project, and acceptance is granted. Documentation & Warranties: All necessary operation manuals, warranties, and construction documents are handed over to the client.
